Gee--Where do you get your information from? President Chavez has been democratically elected, I believe, 6 times! Jimmy Carter's organization that monitors elections did so for the vote to have him re-called. He won that election and has sense been re-elected with something near 60% of the total vote. He has decided that his country's resources belong to his country's people. Gee, what a novel idea! It sounds like Democracy to me. What, pray I ask, does it sound like to you?

Your articles are so mis-informed, I feel outraged upon reading most of them. They are so blatently throwing pie in the face of true Democracy and the values our own country was founded on, I can't believe that our newspaper editor actually doesn't see what you say as virtual treason! If you get all your information from Spanish language TV, as I recall you suggesting people watch, then Spanish language TV is obviously owned by some military/industrial complex companies like GM or the oil industry intself. Do some searching on line, and your likely to come across stories that actually tell the truth of how much our own US government actaually hates Democracy and has done all it can to stamp it out in South American countries since at least the '50s, and then you might recognize that the resistance the US is getting from Chavez and other South American Democratically elected presidents is the result of acting like a bully combined with these people's realizing they must stand up and face that kind of behaviour before it will ever stop.

I am a strong patriot. I love this country, but I am appalled by the horrific way our government combined with industry has decided it has a right to treat people not as strong as they. It is entirely non-christian and absolutely anti-Democratic.

Please do some fact searching before you write another columne bashing a budding and strong Democracy fairly elected president!
