"Less than one year into his first term, Muslim assassins in civilian clothing started a worldwide war."
(1) Al Qaeda assassins, who are Muslim, launched an attack on U.S. soil. If we simply want to generalize, they were male assassins ... did men start a worlwide war? Ummm, yeah, but what good is that statement in pinpointing action ... ditto on your "Muslim assassins" statement.
(2) We responded by launching a war against Muslims who are not Al Qaeda.
. Bush misled Americans that Iraqis were Al Qaeda.
. Then he acknowledged that Iraqis were not Al Qaeda, but that they had WMDs.
. He then allowed that there were no WMDs, but that we were engaged in Operation Iraqi Freedom.
(3) Bush behaves as an unwitting "sleeper" for Big Oil, much the same as the lead character in the Manchurian Candidate, only he has been successful in his infiltration, driving up oil prices, ensuring record profits for Exxon Mobil and the like, and unsettling the U.S. economy with out of control spending that will saddle coming leadership for generations to come. Incompetent? No, you say.
The fact that you and President Bush are small enough to avoid responsibility for initiating the war in Iraq and narcissistic enough to say that "Muslims assassins started a WORLDWIDE war" is frightening to me.
Not only has he mismanaged this country's finances like no other, he has shamed this nation by not living up to our principles ... but rather substituting his own principles to "be tough," chicken hawk that he is ... much the same as any prince or king would do. This is a democracy. We have a constitution. We have laws. This is why Bush is the worst president ever.
In the past, we at least tried as a country to align our policies with the facts at hand and did all that we could such that we were not the terrorists who absolutely have WMDs and no respect for international law or the consequences of our ill-conceived actions. Many, many lives have been lost: American, Iraqi, and others. And we have ignobly defamed this country among peaceful Muslims, fueling fears that we are, in fact, the villian depicted by hate-mongers.
Shame on Bush ... and shame on you! You disrepect all that it means to be American with these beliefs and actions. You're a smart man, Mr. O'Reilly, and I expect better of you.
