The federal government ordered 250 million doses of N1N1 vaccine long ago; the manufacturers are MedImmune, a unit of AstraZeneca, Sanofi-Aventis, Australia's CSL, GlaxoSmithKline and Novartis. These are all private, profit making drug manufacturers. None of them are affiliated with the US Government, and all of them promised a much greater availability of vaccine than they have been able to deliver. Therefore, the credibility of the private sector is what has been diminished, not the public sector. No matter how efficient a distribution system is, it can't allocate resources that do not exist. And if you can't look past the federal government to find the source of this problem, you're nothing more than the political hack you've always been.
