If Bush had just vetoed that stupid McCain-Feingold bill when it crossed his desk (like he sorta-kinda seemed to want to do)...we wouldn't be having this conversation today. It was a terrible idea...the government trying to regulate the very sort of (political) communication that the First Amendment was most intended to protect. Alas, today it only seems to cover pornographers and flag burners.
