Sir;...The difference between primitives and moderns is that primitives would govern their economies and keep themselves free... We keep our economy free and must lived chained to uncertainty, and insecurity... There has never been in modern times any society more free the primitives... We have our notions of democracy at its zeneth from them, and it has degraded ever since... Do you think primitives would deny the rights of government so they could see their economy run wild over them??? Is there some reason a government established for certain well defined, and good goals should not govern business??? Who would dare try to prove that business always does good??? It is a simple chore... Can those who serve themselves out of the economy be shown to be working in the general best interest of this country??? Since when, if ever has business served this people except accidently??? I want a world were the economy works for all people, where it gives to the hard working and intelligent the fruits of their labor...How hard can it be for even the most lazy to support themselves considering the capacity of this society to produce so much with so few workers... We have seen one man's ability to produce a certain quantity of goods mulitplied many times over since the industrial revolution... Is it for nothing??? Is it so that many can cool their heels while a handful are worked into an early grave??? Our economy is a monster... It is anarchy, and no good comes out of it to such a degree as to deny the need for government... If we would govern wild rivers so we can farm up to their banks and live on their edges we must govern our wild economy... It is our enemy, and clearly the enemy of all humanity... The question is not whether we should govern our economy, but when shall we...Thanks...Sweeney
