Domestic Terrorism by Any Standard

by Joe Conason

If right-wing broadcasters don't want to be blamed when someone murders a person they have demonized repeatedly — as in the case of George Tiller, the doctor shot dead in his Wichita, Kan., church last Sunday by an anti-abortion zealot — then they ought to moderate their rhetoric. No doubt they will choose their words more carefully for a while, and they will whine piteously about anyone who calls attention to their screaming extremism.

This familiar cycle of shaming and bl ...

Re: Matt Perhaps, Matt, but the point of the essay is that we have a lot of home grown terrorists in our own country.

Chris Rock said it best when he said,"I'm not afraid of Al Quaida. I'm afraid of Al Cracker."

Oh, this is priceless. "f right-wing broadcasters don't want to be blamed when someone murders a person they have demonized repeatedly — as in the case of George Tiller, the doctor shot dead in his Wichita, Kan., church last Sunday by an anti-abortion zealot — then they ought to moderate their rhetoric." Of course, not a word of condemnation for the LEFT-WING broadcasters who've demonized the military with their ceaseless antiwar rhetoric. A few of them have actually come out and admitted, "No, I don't 'support the troops.' I don't support them, their mission, or their commander." So now, we've got a Muslim nutball who murders a couple of raw recruits because he's been propagandized by the media into believing that the US military is responsible for untold atrocities against Muslims. No, good liberal columnists and broadcasters don't want any responsibility for that, even as they condemn our military for all the "abuses" at Gitmo, Abu Ghrab, etc. Stuff it, Conason.

Re: Paul M. Petkovsek. Chris Rock is an idiot. He thinks white people are responsible for all the problems facing today's black American. Nothing but another racist pig.
