If the Democratic contest lasts until the convention in late August, so what? That leaves two months for Democrats to "coalesce" around their candidate and fight the Republican. And even that shorter time frame will seem a month too long for voters.
So why not go the nine innings? The great American pastime is not judged by time but by action in the field. That's how the game is played.

Do you have a full transcript or recording of the Obama stop in Johnstown, PA? I ask because I've been unable to find a single article referencing the event that mentions more than the same sound-bite piece about Obama saying Hilary can stay in that you mention. If you have it, please pass it along or post it. If you don't, it would seem rather silly of you to claim nobody asked Obama his opinion about people pressuring Hilary to drop out. I was under the opinion that he was responding directly to questions from reporters - in which case, someone DID ask him. Please clear up that point if you would.

Democrats seem to be concerned that while Clinton & Obama take shots at each other, McCain will steel the show while acting presidential. No need to worry. Every time McCain talks it is as though he is in a debate with himself and winds up losing.
