These big international companies that owe no loyalty to the U.S., even though once upon a time many of them originated here, do seem to be a problem, don't they? We tend to think of them as apple-pie American, but they are not. If fact, if what you say is true, these oil companies you have singled out should be considered traitors given the havoc they are wreaking on us in order to feed their coffers. Maybe some smart politician ought to grab on to that a little harder and start waiving the American flag. It sure would be nice if our leaders could start a movement to define patriotism as making sure all Americans get a decent shot at prosperity instead of making war and destruction.
