So some percentage of census takers have criminal backgrounds (approximately 1/2 of 1 percent). When you compare this to the general populace, or even the subset of people who are knocking on doors as part of their jobs, it's pretty darned tiny. I agree the number should be zero, but frankly, I'm having trouble getting terribly alarmed about this.

Michelle, you write well researched articles on varied and deep topics and make much sense. The USA is obviously on a clear path of destruction and that destruction is "trickeling" from the top down! Obviously. As for Bill Sparkman and the KY police, I can only think to say this, obviously, is nothing less than intentional (and quite possibly purposeful!) Murder and foot-dragging have always been a part of historical fact and will become more and more previlent as time passes. What more can we expect? Higher professional standards? Honesty? Integrity? Let's not take a tone here! The people involved on all sides of any issue are, in fact, only human. So, again, I ask what can be expected? At the risk of taking a tone, not much. Thanks for writing!
