I am very Republican. I saw Stephanie Tubbs-Jones on TV speaking on behalf of Hillary. I was quite impressed with her. She was what I believe politicians should be. Very real, down to earth and honest. As much as I hate to admit it (Remember I am an old Republican) Hillary is very impressive herself. In the debates she won every one of them hands down. She knew her stuff......Thanks for writing this article. Barb Sarro

Susan, If all politicians were like Stephanie Tubbs-Jones it would not be in the mess it is today. I don't look at Obama as the black man or McCain as the white man. I look at what they believe in and how they will run this country. If Colin Powell ran for president he would have my full attention along with Condi Rice. It is sad that race is playing such a part and I blame the media and our politicians for it. I worked in a inner city doing home care and I realized that most minorities were slaves to the government so they would not have to work. I had one woman ask me to take her to vote because she wanted to vote in a democrat so she would not lose her check. We need to look at all of this and put race a side and do what is right for man kind. God Bless Stephanie for standing up for what she believed in. I wish our media and politicians would do the same.

Susan, I honor your reflections on Stephanie Tubbs-Jones. I am definitely a conservative and I believe that we should honor in death those who have served us. It was interesting to see the Washington Times "A Right Wing"newspaper truly honor Tubb-Jones in their obituary. I wish the left had done the same for Tony Snow.

Congresswoman Tubbs had courage and conviction. It is a sad day in American when she wass threatened because of her belief in Hillary Clinton.
She took the Obama threats seriously and increased her security.
It is appalling that her unfortunate death took place under threats from Obama or his surrogastes.
As disgracefully as the physical threats upon her by Obama surrogates were - she was not alone.
Congresswoman Diane Watson (D-CA) was also threatened. I am sure there werer a lot more.
In fact, more generally threats were made in a very public manner.
Donna Brazille threaten to leave the Democratic party, Al Sharton threatened marchs, Congressman Jim Clyburn (D-CS) threatened "irreparable harm" to the Democratic Party, Color of Change - boasting 400,00 members made threats.
Obama said nothing. Is the Chicago way - thug politics going to make its way to the White House?
How can Obama support, ratify, condone, approve and/or inspire threats to get his way and nothing be said?
There should be an investigation as to how extensive the threats were. We cannot let the America way become the Chigo way.
