Ma'am;... I have to agree that Guantanamo Bay houses some of the most dangerous terrorist in the world, and it is because if they will torture that humanity for some lame excuse, or to curry promotion, they would do the same to you or to me, to a dog, or to a child... An excuse is only an excuse, and not a true justification... Let me tell you what those men should do... If they believe torture is absolutly necessary, then they should document their actions to the full, and then when they have done their little inhumanity they should submit to trial, and lay the facts before the world... They will not, and do not because they are criminals doing as criminals always do in the shadows and the quiet of the night... They are lepers...They are so many Ishmials...We have followed these devils into wars with people who were never our enemies...We have let those animals outrage the people of God... WE have seen our own suffering humanity tortured at their hands, and quietly condemned the act, which, to save our souls, demanded so much more of a sacrifice than quiet condemnation...Ma'am; you celebrate outrage... You justify crime... No doubt, you look at the world as full of so many sinners who will be excluded from your reward of heaven... Sorry ma'am; but the heaven of my God excludes all excluded from humanity... That is my brother, and that is my sister, and for the love of God and the greatness of this nation we must set some limits on the evil we will do to keep this rotten government in power...It is better to suffer from too much kindness than to suffer from too much hate... Don't use the good people of this land to justify your hate... Hate on your own... Torture some helpless animal...Pull the wings off a fly; but consider the moral consequences of our inhumanity to humanity...You justify 911 before and after the fact... Should you not show we deserve better??? If this is a war on terror, then why create this nebulous listing of enemy combatant? Why not call them POWs? Because then you would have to afford them the rights provided by the Geneva Conventions, and God forbid that we treat these people in accordance with treaties that we had signed and ratified. The issue isn't whether or not these people will be tortured when they are returned to their countries of origin, seriously I don't care and hope they do get tortured by their own governments, stop the stupidity where it stops (which would lead me on a rant as to why we didn't invade Saudi Arabia seeing how 15 of the 19 hijackers came from that country, but I digress). Ms. Chavez, please, for the love of God and humanity, please stop trying to espouse views that are simplistic, and if you are going to stand out there and rant, please, don't burn up space on Yahoo or anywhere else.
