Sir;... I can't speak for the political junkies, but since people seem to look at me as a political junkie let me say that the outrageous time and attention we give to politics only means the dang thing ain't working and it has led us into division and stalemate, and hate... Hooray for the politicals; and hell for us... But the other sign that it is not working is that we do not have the time to devote to politics even when it is obviously essential... Again; if it were working we would not have to work half as hard... Instead of half the people working twice as hard in dead end jobs without rewards, twice the people could be working half as hard for all the perks... We just have to quit kissing the rich booty and start carting it off... I mean, SERIOUSLY...Since we have had the official eight hour work day, how many times has our ability, -one person's ability to produce doubled??? Yet; instead of working less for more, we all work more for less... And we blame the idiots... Shet... We are all idiots... There is no point whatever in what we do since it means we are falling apart individually, and as a nation... The election, the close races, the near division of the whole people right down the middle, the frustration of the one side, the exhaltation on the other, the anger and resentment all around... If you take seriously the goal of the constitution -of perfect union, you have to conclude that some one substituted perfect antipathy while we were working hard, sacrificing, and paying our taxes... In other words, -watch it with all your eyes, or walk away; because it don't work...So... We have to learn to talk to each other, and the political process is not helping that... And we have to reach some agreement of common goals, and a common morality because without agreement the goals will elude us. And might I add...FOREVER... Thanks...Sweeney
