A guy I work with spins incredible stories of being a Navy SEAL, a bona fide Bounty Hunter who has been "In the Shit", been shot at, killed people, the list goes on.
His latest yarn is to tell folk he was Chuck Norris' sparring partner! This guy was NOT a SEAL, is WAY too young to have accomplished all he brags about and if he was/is Chuck's sparring partner I'm a Monkey's Uncle.
His name is Theodore Schmidt.

I love the way Chuck words the question, "Would I beat Bruce in a competition?" Competition is one thing, a street fight is another, in a real fight there are no rules and Bruce understood this. Don't get me wrong, I respect all of Chucks accomplishments, but Bruce was a master of kung fu and the first mixed martial artist and did not limit himself to one art as Chuck did at the time. He studied many different disciplines and did master most. He also created his own discipline which is still taught today. So Chuck may be right, in a competition where rules are imposed he most likely would win, but in a real fight with no rules and no limit to one particular discipline you would have to give the edge to Bruce. Both are great martial artist and both are my heroes. This is a question my friends and I have discussed many times with no agreement at the end of the discussion because half are Chuck fans and half for Bruce. So to end my opinion on this matter I would just like to say, "Long live the memory of Lee Jun Fan "aka" Bruce Lee and long live Chuck Norris the great movie star and champion.

sorry chuck, you have said it yourself, bruce was faster,and stronger and we all know you were a private student of his. and since he mastered so many styles in a short amount of time I think he was a smarter fighter then you ! way to go beating around the bush, there has been some great masters in the world that never competed. doesnt many they cant win, superman had kryptonite, you had bruce. I am a fan of yours believe it or not, I just want to here my idols be truthfull. man up and give your frined the respect he deserves !!!!! he would have beat you in the ring and killed you in the street

ha! everyone has an opinion of this question, i am pleased that i find Mr. norris to be the class act i always hoped he was.
