Mona Charen`s column, "Heading back to the future" seemed to say that approximately 6 months after May 1939, Japan would "drag us into World War II". That would mean that the attack on Pearl Harbor was in Dec. 1939 and not Dec. 1941. That is either quite a revisionistic view of history or very poor scholarship. J Wheeler
