Apply a Litmus Test to Sotomayor

Conservatives in the Senate should not treat Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor in the same disgraceful manner that Senate liberals treated Clarence Thomas when he was nominated to the court in 1991, but they should subject her to a similar philosophical litmus test.

It is this simple: Does she believe the Constitution includes a "right" to kill an unborn child?

Justice Thomas said: "a high-tech lynching for uppity blacks who in any way deign to think for themselves." One would need to be very stupid to believe that. Thomas clearly lied about his views on abortion and almost certainly lied about Anita Hill's testemony. Holding someone accountable for their lies isn't lynching them. The issue here is implied right ot privacy. Judge Bork said that a Connecticut law outlawing condoms was constitutional because he didn't think there is an implied right to privacy. Many disagree with Bork's views on privacy and it's an honest disagreement. What isn't honest is thearticle I'm commenting on.
