Sir;... I think you mis understand the thought process that led to our current situation, that finds us de-industrialized, and decapitalized... The fact is that people profited from it, and those who exported production and imported the product made all kinds of profit... But they have reached the point of self destruction...They have exported too much production, and imported too much, and pushed credit to the extreme... And the effect is like that China experienced during the import of Opium, when all the wealth of the society was depleted, even human wealth, when people found they could quell the pangs of hunger with a few breaths of poison... And Credit is capital's drug of choice that is exhausting the wealth of this nation... So, it may be making some rich who wave the flag of free markets, but it is breaking the country... The profit they make is not reinvested here.. The rich are trying to build markets abroad without the essentials of resources and a strong system of trade... A perenial problem of capital is that it always builds up production without enough markets, in anticipation of markets... All our wars have been for markets...But what has happened to us has not been caused by war...Our own rich have made us a dumping ground, thinking they could take endless wealth out of us... But to build capital, markets are destroyed..To build international capital, domestic markets are destroyed... Our market is shot, overburdened with credit, interest, and the need for credit; our opium.... Look at what we have compared to Europe...Where are our paid vacations, and our health care, and our fair wages, and our secure retirements??? WE have let our standard of living fall to build capital in expectation of markets abroad, and as a result, have had to rely more and more on credit to have anything, and still remain a market... This country has been run for the benefit of capital... Do you have the courage to admit it does not work, that capital world wide is no better than capital confined within a single border??? No people has ever had the ability to buy back all they produce with their wages alone... Capital can produce for every need; but it exceeds every budget until the government ends up supporting a system that will not support itself... Thanks..Sweeney
