Albeit there are countless other issues he could have touched on, but not in a short article, Mr. Sowell has incisively cut to the chase and given enough information about Barack Hussein Muhammed Obama that any American voter should be warned away from giving him a vote. I love the integration of the baseball player who had character enough to await a truly legitimate play. We should wait. Would to God we had a black candidate with the acumen of Mr. Sowell. He surely would have my vote in a nanosecond.

I've try to read Mr. Sowell every week as his articles are thought provoking and deal with issues that Americans are facing on a daily basis. His love of Country comes through his writings and I only wish there were millions more like him but alas that is not the case. Thank you Mr. Sowell for your contributions to the American scene. Sincerely, John Eversole

Mr Sowell's point about "how many times people were preoccupied with trivialities when they were teetering on the edge of doom" is well made. With an invigorated Russia, China, Korea, and the threat of nuclear Islam, we need a president with a strong foreign policy who can stand firm when dealing with international figureheads. Ronald Reagan was able to argue with the Europeans and although he made them angry, he got his point across. Obama worries more about having Europeans approve of him, than making key security points understood. We need a leader who can carry American interests abroad, not bring European interests here. Age and race do not matter, ideas do.
