An Internet Fraud
by Thomas Sowell
Over the years, many statements have been falsely attributed to me, but this is the first year in which a whole column has been made up and circulated in a chain letter on the Internet, claiming that I wrote it.
Letters, phone calls and e-mails from readers around the country have asked me if I wrote a column saying that Barack Obama is not an American citizen. The answer is "No."
Many of my readers have been savvy enough to tell that the style of the phony column is n ...

I just want to thank thomas sowell for his truthful words about barack obama. Thomas is a good man and i respect him very highly. This is a man who will vote by want he feels in his heart based on issues and nothing more or less. I read in my local paper one guy wrote he might vote for obama based just on color even though he admits in his article that he against obama on many issues. now does that make any sense? that is just insane. Obama will be very bad for this country, first and for most he is bad for us on moral issues, but also economically and on the gas and anergy issue he has absolutly no concrete plan to tackle the problem as where McCain has many ideas. Also obama wants to tax us more as where McCain doesn't. McCain cares about the people a hang of a lot more then obama. McCain is better for this country in every way shape and form. I pray that those who are leaning towards obama now will read these truthful words from people like thomas sowell and then vote for McCain.

GREAT Opinions article in the July 10, 2008 Arizona Republic "Obamacons ... " Right on point. The people need to listen to and track what he is saying. This person is NOT right for President, nor is he right for the United States.
Unfortunately, we are racing toward another Presidential election where we are forced to vote not for the best candidate, but to vote against the worst candidate for the country. Although I am an Arizonan for the past 20 years, John McCain would not be my first choice for President, but obama certainly would be among my LAST choices. Between the two, the only clear choice for the rational, intelligent, sane voter, is John McCain in the 2008 Presidential election.

Dr. Sowell,
Thank you for stating the truth about the Obama internet fraud.
No well educated person would buy into that absurdity.
All people need to do is some investigating & reading to know who the best presidential candidate would be.

Dear Dr Sowell
I just would like to tell you that I'm a Democrat and I feel the same way you do. We should always be educated voters. Research is the best way to check out your presidental nomimees. I don't know how to get through to some of the people. They think well he speaks a good speech, which indeed he does. That however said doesnot make a good president. I'm so sick right now because I feel our votes do not count. Our Delagates went and pick a person who didn't even have the popular votes. Please tell me in what way does that make us feel as an american. I'm running for superviosor of election in my county and when I hear this it make me want to do all I can to change the way elections are being handled. Do you have any good advise?
Thanks again for the great columns.
