All God's Children

The Catholic Church in America has always been an immigrant church. No wonder that Pope Benedict XVI has given special attention in his first visit to the United States to the issue of immigrants.

Dear Linda, I read your article this morning. Your last paragraph needs further clarification. Yes, we are all God's children if the context is that Jesus has created all things, per the Bible. However, typically this phrase refers to all believers who accept Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. If you've intended the former then your statement is correct and factual. If you intended the latter context then that would be untrue. Not to be nitpicky but most people are confused and believe in some type of universal salvation for all people.
