Hi Suzanne John McCain has a certain appeal to me also in the sense of "the times they are a changing." Don't you find this theme song of the '60's so "Deja Vu all over again." Anyway, I am a 61 yo Democrat/Independent but I have great respect for the Maverick in McCain. In spite of the overwhelming partisanship of Congress, he teamed up with Lieberman, Kennedy, and Feingold in an attempt to break through all the gridlock which has been the hallmark of Congress in recent memory. My main concern in this election, however, is that after 8 years of ignoring the domestic agenda, America is really in sad shape on the home front. Even the way we are using manpower in our foreign policy exploits is stretched to the breaking point. I seriously think we have to re-group. McCain's Domestic Policy needs a lot more fleshing out. I would like to see him and his advisors get together and come up with some kind of domestic blueprint which might persuade people like me to vote for him.
