It is funny how only mothers seem to get the "poor baby" treatment when iy comes to raising children alone. I am a single father with 2 sons that i am raising alone. the mother lives 5 minutes away, is a professional making a high 6 figure income in a business I and my family started and built up for her. She has nothing to do with riaisng these boys or even communicates with them - this includes birthdays, and holidays. So how about mentioning that outside of teh "norm" are fathers that do care and raise these childred - there are more than your column suggests. So, the next time you write a scathing article about the deadbeat dads - at least mention there are mother sjust as dispicable as these men you brow beat.
