Creamy Blind Faith: The first supergroup was Cream, a blues rock outfit that included guitarist Eric Clapton, drummer Ginger Baker and bassist Jack Bruce. Replace Bruce with Steve Winwood and you have another superband, Blind Faith, which only recorded one album. And that album ran into lots of trouble for putting a topless tween girl on the cover. (Clapton had also been in the Yardbirds, which was more like a superstar training camp: Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page were also members.)
