I wrote you two months ago about a male co-worker who was flirting but never asking me out. You said to flirt with him, but date others. He's still flirting, and watches me like a hawk, but that's it. Yesterday, he overheard me talking about some date I had. Apparently, his face went beet red and he got all "weird." He didn't even come say goodbye before leaving, as he always does. I really like this guy — he's such a sweetheart — but I'm getting frustrated. Should I tur ...

I just love this column, you have such a way with words! I tend to agree that if the guy can't work up the nerve to ask this woman out for a drink he's probably not worth anymore thought. But this woman seems so persistantly interested that my first thought was "what could it hurt to ask him out and see if he had any potential"? After giving the brain cells an opportunity to kick in I have another opinion altogether. If he "acted all weird" when she mentioned a date now, how will he act if they go out once and it goes no further? He will give "acting all weird" a whole new meaning. This is one workplace romance best left unexplored.
