DEAR SUSAN: Hello again. The myth that all men will have sex with any willing woman was a good one to raise. And you did so very well, I thought. Now make the connection between that issue and women's reluctance to make a first move in sex, or (as I put it) unwilling to do their share of the "wanting." These discussions would horrify my parents, and I think it is funny. My mother never changed from the viewpoint that one must always be a lady for the world to see, and that women ''put up with'' sex so they could have children. After all, the human body was nasty, and she and my father never saw each other is the buff..............sex only in the dark with all the lights out. They dressed in seperate rooms. My father swore that no man would ever marry a woman he had gone to bed with, or whom he knew was not a vigrin. They missed so much. Their reasoning on morality and religion never ever changed.

"Women can talk all they want about liberation and equal pay for equal work — and all the perks women enjoy in and out of the workplace — but when they want a baby or need a break from work, they can do it." This is so untrue! The majority of women have babies & return to work within 6 weeks! And, maybe when we actually RECEIVE equal pay for equal work (women still make 71% of what men make - no changes since the 1970's!), they will stop talking about it. Please do not assume that all women have the freedom to take off work just because they are women. There are many more single mothers out there than single fathers & it is unfair to shade us all as just looking for a man as a meal ticket so we can "take a break from work".
