Dear Margo: I have been married for 18 years and am going through a painful divorce (her idea). One of the main problems she had with me was that after we married and had a daughter, I told her she had to choose between seeing her father and staying married to me. The woman may have realized she married a man too much like her father. This man forbid her to have a relationship with her father? What did he think gave him that right? If this woman spent her childhood being controlled by an overbearing man it's doubtful she wants to spend her adulthood the same way.
