Is college worth it? Can you work your way through and save money? Can you live at home and go to school nearby and save money? Will your major get you a job that can pay for your loans? Make sure you choose the right school, some employers wont even consider you if you don't go to certain schools. Don't waste your time at the wrong school. Go to school part time and work your way through. Use all the new college savings plans to your advantage right now for your young children. Mail in your FASA first. You are competing against people who are in the same economic bracket, but awards are given first to whomever applies first. Aid is also determined by which school you apply for. Many people do not know that you have to apply to all the schools and pay the entrance fees before they will tell you what financial aid you might receive. This gets very expensive. Apply to as many schools as you can afford to. Study your major and ask your school if they actually teach you how to get a job. Mine didn't. I graduated with no idea how to get a job in my major and the job department only focused on getting a job you already had experience for.
