Searching for a Way Out – What's the old saying "can't never could do nothing"? I'm sure there are many single mothers out there supporting their children on much less than $24,000 a year. Ultimately we all must take responsiblity for the way our lives turn out, good or bad. The choices you make are your own. Good luck!

As far as the first writer, everything her husband told her is pure crap. She needs to get a good attorney who can put this chauvinist in in place and secure a fair deal for her. As for the second writer, I think there's more to the story. Parents don't usually divide their estates so unequally unless there's a good reason. I suspect she's been a rare visitor to mom in her final years, but rather than cut her out completely, mom felt she should leave her "something" if only a small percentage just because she is her daughter. She needs to look at her own behavior and see if she caused this discrepancy herself, and by all means, leave her little sister alone.
