Dear Lisa, you are an adrenaline junky. you are addicted to the extreme emotional & physical response that is created during emotional strife. You need to ask yourself why you need this type of excitement. Look into your past and get some counseling. My grandmother would badger my grandfather until he blew up because she had to be the center of attention, so I'm well familiar with this pattern. I'm sure it took a huge step to write, please go one step further into counseling.

Make up sex is exciting. If you have children in the home, what you are doing to them is horrible. If you were alone, you can do anything you want. Why, if you get enjoyment out of this, do you insist on calling the police?
I don't know who the children would be better off with. Sounds as if it would be him if he loves and spends time with them.
I am sure you love your children but I wonder what you will do for excitement if you lived alone with them without your husband. Please put them first and get some help.
