Disregard for Loyalty Will Tarnish Reputation

Q: I've worked for my current employer for the past eight years as the controller. The company is under extreme financial strain and may not be able to overcome it. I would like to look for a new job, but people in the industry are close, and I do not want to let prospective employers know what is happening at my company.
