I was looking on the internet and found you. I like your sensible approach to animal problems. I wanted to question you on the protective nature of dogs specifically the german shepard. My dog is awesome, friendly, even tempered etc.. Except when strangers come into the driveway we have an electric fence. If he met these people on neutral ground first he would like them and then he would accept them in his yard. He has stopped us from becoming a robbery statistic. I just do not get why he feels the need to control the yard. He has never been hurt etc... he will even move things in the yard that my son left there and hide it, or when my son raked a pile of leaves, he decided (the dog) that he will use the restroom on it. The other thing is that no dog who runs lose in the neighborhood will come near our yard ( I do like this because our neighbor lets his rott run lose and it attacked me two years ago). Do you have a certain book that deals with the control freak dog. I love my dog I just want him happy.
