I agree with Jack Sprat. That's a major turn off. There is just no way to fake being attracted to someone that obese, its her problem and unfortunately he has to live with it. It adds insult to injury when people suggest that a spouse go to counseling or a doctor to see why they don't want to have sex with someone they are not attracted to.

If after 17 years of absence, he was able to enjoy the presence of this woman, it seems very immature to say that he will never trust a woman again. Perhaps this all or nothing approach to life is what made this woman shut him out. He needs to look at his own behavior and see if there is anything he can change before he starts another romance.
