I believe that China is in the same position that the US was in the early 1900s. Could you have any comments about these 2 stocks: Chinese Educational Alliance (CEU) and Xinyuan Real Estate (XIN).I read your column in the paper when ever I can.

Mr. Berko,
While I look forward to reading your advise column, I am shocked and appalled today at how FAR RIGHT YOUR BUTT was on your shoulders when giving your view on the 1% transaction tax. When you took ON the horrendous task of using the word Fatwa and made great adjectives out of the words "a far left Democrat", a Muslim and a close associate of President Obama. WHAT WERE YOU TRYING TO ACCOMPLISH?! You really should have proof read this over an over-AND SHOULD HAVE STOPPED YOURSELF FROM HAVING THIS GARBAGE PUBLISHED- because it makes you look PETTY & RIDICULOUS. You are probably a hero to some people for saying those things, but today you are not my hero. You could have gotten your point across by limiting the amount of nastines AND NAME CALLING. My husband and I will stop reading your column BECAUSE NOW YOU'VE SHOWN YOURSELF TO BE A BIG JACKASS AND I AM VERY SURE MANY OTHERS HAVE NOTICED. YOU OWE A GREAT MANY PEOPLE AN APOLOGY. I am middle America and suspect at this point YOU ARE NOT! YOU SOUND LIKE A FAT, WHITE, WEALTHY HIPPOCRITE THAT MOST OF US MIDDLE AMERICANS DISDAIN.

Dear Mr. Berko: I have $100,000 that my PNC advisor wants me to invest in a heavily managed asset allocation account. It would be a mix of 50% bonds and 50% mutual funds. This mix is supposed to have a better than market return with low risk. However, there is a 1.5% annual management fee. Is it worth it?

I purchase Forty a few weeks ago based on your recommendation. It is currently down about 10%. Is it time to double up or sell?

Mr. Berko, I was glad to see your article in The Oklahoman on the Goldline thieves. I called to check prices on 57 silver dollars which they quoted $26.65 per coin, $68.36 commission, and delivery of $32.65. I told the sales man I could get the same number from another company for $20.06 and they were 2010 American Silver Eagles (BU) and not the old Peace silver dollars he was selling. Also, no commission. I told him I would get 19 more American Silver Eagles by going thru the other company. I did not give him the name until he told me the coins must be counterfit. I said "Are you accusing the people I am quoting are counterfitting coins?" I said go the APMEX.com and learn something. He pulled up the web site and said APMEX is a very good company. I had hoped the Feds would go after them when they sold their product to some of the Senators and they found out how bad they had been bent over and would never realize a profit from what they bought. Thanks for the article and I would like your thoughts on APMEX. Sincerely, Larry Barnard

I purchased 100 shares of Visa, Ina. (V) nyse at $63/share. It's gone up to $93/share as of 11/11/2011. Should I sell the stock to reap the profit or hold it?
Thank you in advance for any advice you can provide.

Our son has invested alot of money in a silver mining company (I cannot give you the name of the company) the stock is now down 50% and he says he may put more money into it. Does this sound wise? Maybe you can just tell me if silver mining is a good or bad investment.
