Annie's Mailbox®, May 12

by Kathy Mitchell and Marcy Sugar

Dear Annie: I have been married to a great guy for over a year. We have a fantastic marriage, with one problem. Three months after we wed, our sex life slowed to a trickle. Before we married, we were having sex four or five times a week. Now it's less than once a month, and the change happened suddenly. We are young and in the prime of our lives, yet he is completely uninterested in having sex with me.

I have asked him lovingly if there is anything wrong, but he says things are perfect ...

RE: the sexless marriage: I think that if his doctor can diagnose him, the diagnoses will be that... he's GAY.

Regarding the sexless marriage: It's actually comforting to know that there are WOMEN who aren't "getting enough." As a man, I have a horror of winding up married to an ice queen who's going to shove me away and make me feel like I'm some kind of animal. As the writer concerned about proper respect for the flag, I would like to add that it is also customary for males to remove any hats during the playing of the national anthem. Like standing (and perhaps hand-over-the-heart) it is a sign of respect - not just to the flag and the nation - but for the generations of men who have fought, bled, and died for it. It is to their memory that we most owe our thanks.

Regarding Ted Williams comment. It seems to me that Teddy has some fears about homosexuals and well is...probably in the closet himself. P.S. You should be more considerate to who wrote the letter. It says they were having sex 4-5 a week before marriage, do gay men do that?

I also think the husband is gay, I have 2 closeted gay friends who are married, one of them even has children. It is obvious that the man in the letter was having sex with this woman only for one reason - to trick her to marry him. On the positive side, this woman didnt lose too much time with this fraud and I hope she will be able to get marriage annulled.
