Mz. Harrop needs to get her facts right. 2/3 of Americans do not want the Public Option or government control of the health care. Only the New York Times would be bold enough to print a survey so slanted it could slide of the earth if it were flat, which Liberals might tend to believe if told it was the truth.

May I suggest that you contact Governor Bredesen of Tennessee to learn what will happen if the Democrats' healthcare plan is adopted? The Great State of Tennessee adopted what was basically a mirror-image of "Hillarycare" several years ago. Only after the brave leadership of Gov. Bredesen (yes, I am a registered Republican who voted for this qualified Democrat) was our State able to avoid the bankcuptcy which this healthcare plan would have brought. It was a very painful experience but such a plan would have caused economic disaster. Will you find support for the Democrats plan here in Tennessee? VERY unlikely!! Even our Governor has gone public with that same opinion and concern!!

This totally untrue article was just put into our paper today & it is so Polosi-ish it reeks with bias. The poll that you site was not an unbiased poll. It asked the opinion of 2/3 Democrats & "maybe" 1/3 Republicans. I don't know how anyone can favor the Polosi plan when it's almost 2,000 pages. Who knows whats in it & how is the "public option" defined? Surely you know that more research has to be done on this! You also know that it's going to cost more. You state that "government option would not be any more taxpayer-supported than the private ones". If this is true why does the plan cost one trillion dollars (or more) as confirmed by the CBO?
I hope you write about last nite's election & the skunking of the Dems in NJ & VA. Do't tell us it was a "local race" when Obama went to Corzine's state twice & other times to VA. He doesn't have time to figure out Afghanistan but he can zoom around the country campaigning for losers.
Your days are numbered Ms. Liberal so enjoy it while you can-2010 is creeping up on you & yours & the house of cards are going to fall.
