Rising Triglyceride Levels Increase Heart Attack Risk

A recent analysis of the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey, which monitors the health of thousands of Americans across the nation, showed that the percentage of Americans with an elevation of LDL cholesterol has declined significantly over the past 25 years.

In 1980, 48 percent of Americans had an elevated LDL above 100. By 2006, the percentage declined to 40 percent.

I am taking anti depression medicine since last 3 years and tablet for high BP. Before taking these medicines my triglycerides level was normal but in three years of taking medicines, it raised to 390. Doctor has given me tablet fenolip which has redeced the level of triglycerides to 180. Now doctor says to stop taking fenolip. what i should do to stop further rise of triglycerides. i am a vagetrian. After taking fenolip for 3 months, a new problem of sleeplessness has come for which i am taking medicines now. pl advice thanks
