I started buying Paula Begoun's books years ago, and I learned a great deal about skin care vs. wishful thinking. As a consumer reporter, she has always reviewed products: what they can do and their cost. She has a free newsletter, but there also is an online reference that does have a subscription fee. But there is so much free information in her website that you don't have to do that if you don't want to. She also has her own product line which is completely risk free. Didn't mean to make this a commercial, but I am a fan. She's saved me a lot of money over the years and my skin looks great.
