My kid is nearing 5 years and he dont concentrate at all when teachers tell him he dont focus when we teach him he dont focus , he just rememebers like 1234 .. but hwn you show him 12 and 21 he is confused
is he normal ?

I have had my 10 year old daughter tested for ADHD when maybe I should have had her tested for ADD but not sure. The test came back normal except her memory is 2 yrs behind her age. She often forgets her papers or loses them. She doesn't get much work done at school and brings it home. She is in the 5th grade, I have tryed to get her some extra help like special ed classes for math and reading but the teacher doesn't think she qualifies because she gets good grades in and out of class on her work. Her teacher told me when talking to her its like shes not there. I try to get her in bed by 8pm but she usually goes to bed at 9pm. I think shes bored and her mind wonders. I don't know what to do. I would like to buy something over the counter to help her focus. I have bought fish oil but need something different. Do you think I should have her seen by a psychologist? I want her to be sucessful but it doesn't look good. Help!
