I am surprised John says the man should pay for her expenses but she should not for his... this is SO weird!!! Like who's going to pay for a stranger to fly to your city and possibly pick up their hotel tab and other stuff too???... This is totally outdated. Im all for the man paying a little more than the woman but that is ridiculous... I say each person should pay their own way until they know they are both interested in a relationship. Good Grief!

Umm, when a man pays a woman for "travel expenses" related to a date, that date is a business transaction. On one hand, it's the oldest business in the world. On the other hand, it's illegal almost everywhere. I'd be very reluctant to let the other person pick up any of my expenses or vice versa. It would be too easy to set up what you think is a dinner date and walk into some kind of sting.
