I feel I must comment on the door holding comments. I am a 63 year old male and feel that lack of common courtesy is a cancer on this country. Civility and common sense are no longer part of the fabric of this nation. With that said, I completely disagree that the rudest people are males. My wife and I both hold doors for anyone male or female and females are 9 times out of 10 the ones who treat you like a door man without the tip. Especially women under the age of 40. Men will typically say thank you and call you sir or ma'am. Women are more likely to let the door slam you in the face. Now that I am retired I am prone to speak out at rudeness and will say "You're Welcome" in a voice loud enough for the transgressor to hear. I have never had a woman turn back and apologize but men frequently do.
