John Forgetta

John Forgetta created and writes The Meaning of Lila from his attic office overlooking Lake Erie. Lila is, for John, a combination of all the wonderful women in his life who make this world a better place with their good humor and kind hearts. John is currently editorial director for American Greetings where he writes greeting cards. Prior to that he was an editor for The Los Angeles Times.

The pseudonym L.A. Rose represents the talented team that also works on Lila, including writer Kathy Dow and illustrators Justin Raines, Jackie Gentile, and Tony Calabro.
