About Lindsey Novak


Lindsey Novak is not just a journalist. Her professional career began at a CBS owned-and-operated station, WBBM-TV, researching and writing editorials that expressed the opinion of management. From there she moved into adult education and law, and expanded her experience through teaching and individual and group career counseling for an international outplacement firm.

Lindsey’s workplace advice has reached millions of readers, beginning in1992 in the Chicago Tribune, and spreading throughout the country. As an educator, career coach, and journalist, Lindsey touches people with her practical and positive advice to help people realize their potential.

In 2000, she was chosen as “100 Woman You Should Know” by Today’s Chicago Woman magazine. In 2004, Lindsey Novak received the Northwestern University Alumni Merit Award for Lifetime Achievement for her workplace column and ongoing volunteer activities.
